Framework field in the Pinacoteca in Como
The calendar of the 2019 exhibitions

Framework field is a small circumscribed space, 4.2 x 4.2 meters, which delimits the final part of the long open gallery of the first floor of the Pinacoteca di Como. The name indicates a small square with a square shape and also refers to the work of art that is exhibited inside. It is a place dedicated to the contemplation of a painting, a sculpture, an art object.

The dimension is intentionally reduced so that the observers are limited in number and do not hinder the vision and study of the work. The grid that precedes space is a physical and mental filter. Beyond this threshold the visitor finds himself in an almost sacred dimension that leads him to the observation of what he has before him. In Square field the work is explained, commented and at the same time left to the opinion of the visitor.
