The lake overlooks the towns of Erba, Albavilla, Alserio and Monguzzo.The lake is located within the Valle del Lambro Regional Park. Along the eastern shore is the Lake Alserio Regional Reserve.
The Buerga nature trail
It is an easy mule track at the foot of the Buerga hill.
The path will give us the opportunity to get in touch with the deep nature of the lake and the forest.
Structured on three branches starting from:
– Alserio (cemetery location),
– Monguzzo (sports field in Nobile and via Buerga near the border with Erba and Merone).
The path allows you to reach the Casa del Lago CEA with short and easy walks lasting a few tens of minutes.
At the beginning of each of the three branches specific indications show the characteristics of the lake, presenting the origins and the environmental and naturalistic aspects.
In addition, the branch that starts from the cemetery of Alserio (about 2.5 km) has been equipped with signs showing visitors the characteristics of the various tree and shrub essences that make up the Buerga forest.
The Buerga hill is crossed by numerous and easy paths suitable for everyone.
